The Lake Foundation was founded in August of 2009 in conjunction with The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS). The mission of The Lake Foundation is to educate, inspire and empower battered woman, abused children and disabled veterans by helping to rebuild their lives emotionally, physically and financially.
One of the goals of the foundation is to create a fund that is ‘self supporting’ in that it has multiple streams of income that continue to come into the foundation without the need of ‘traditional fundraising activities and staff.’
The first fundraising tool that has been established to accomplish this goal is the creation of the “Circle of Healing” book series that will act as a fundraiser for The Lake Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from all the books developed in the “Circle of Healing” series will be donated to The Lake Foundation. The first book in that series is “Circle of Healing For Women” and is available for sale by clicking here.
